RECRUITMENT

Anyone is allowed to join — we gladly accept (and encourage) potential new members from all disciplines! The only requirement is that you must have at least 4 semesters left in school after your pledging semester.

We are looking for students who express leadership skills, are passionate about technology, eager to learn and grow, and committed to fostering community and collaboration.

NME will be held weekly, covering topics in Tech Consulting, Data Science, Machine Learning, and SWE. Pledges will be split into groups and expected to present deliverables for these topics every other week during G-body in addition to hosting a fundraiser. We will also have professional development workshops such as Github, LinkedIn, Resume Review, and Internship Recruitment. Attend a info session for more information!

Members gain access to mentorship, technical workshops, networking opportunities, social events, and a lifelong professional support system.

We have members from Computer Science, ECE, Information Science, Economics, and more. Anyone passionate about tech is welcome!

We host retreats, big/little reveals, NYC Trek, group dinners, and more. Our events help members bond beyond academics and projects.

NME is a manageable commitment designed to fit into a student’s schedule. Expect to dedicate 3-4 hours each week for meetings, events, and bonding activities.

After new members get accepted into the fraternity, they are given a bid. The new member education process (NME) will begin the week after bids are given out and will last for one semester. New Members will earn points through attending events, completing workshops, and participating in bonding activities. At the end of the semester, new members will be initiated as full brothers of Kappa Theta Pi.

Interview will consist of both technical and behavioral questions. We will evaluate applicants based on commitment, interest, collaboration, social fit, and problem-solving skills. Check out the interview tab for more details!
